Medium has changed many policies since new leadership joined. No more transparency is kept, recently Aiden is removed from Boost program. Many senior writers are leaving. Future at Medium is at stake, hope so Medium listen to concerns and find a solution.

Sorry to hear of Aiden's back luck on the boost program. Can I suggest you stop adding new writers? That's what other publications do when they're overwhelmed.

We aim to provide all ethical writers with a platform to grow their audience with encouragement and support. Consider if you were a new writer on Medium, applying to a major publication only to face rejection. How would that experience affect you?

Wow. There are a lot of changes occurring and will continue to take place over time. I hope positive outcomes are in the future. I'd hate to see this publication come to an end. I really think the 80% Substack effort and time spend is the best approach. I have recently started here, but I can see the potential. As long as they don't change anything for the worst, this will be the place to be. I am starting three publications here in different niches, yet working in synergy together as they are very related. I will continue to write on Medium for now, but mostly to monetize in other ways like AM. Thank you Dr. Mehmet for all your time and effort.

Thank you for sharing your concerns in such a transparent though powerful way. I for one acknowledge that I have learned much from you during our conversations on how to write compelling stories, Dr Yildiz. Academic publishing is plagued by much gatekeeping, and one would like to think of Medium as a democratizing terrain. Let’s hope corrective action is taken to maintain such a role.
Dr. Mehmet - you have done more for Medium than any other publisher, not only publishing outstanding pieces from talented writers but by your support and encouragement and open-hearted inclusiveness. I am so sorry to hear about Aiden also, and see no legitimate reason for his not being fully appreciated as he deserves. Despite my cynical outlook on life, I hope Medium rights the ship, but I'm not depending on them to do that. I will keep making YouTube Videos and posting weekly newsletters. My audience will grow regardless. I'm the writer I am today because of your Mentorship and the mentorship of my fellow editors. It's like the aftermath of a forest fire. After the destruction something beautiful will emerge.
I believe that Illumination is a superior publication worthy of assistance from Medium. I am very disappointed in Medium's response and lack of support.
I started writing on Medium in February 2022 n stopped a year later. I will write my opinions to address my concerns on this topic cos I realised my comment is getting long to post here! 🙏😊
I do understand the disappointment with Medium very well. It happened to me as well. I reached out to their support team, but they never responded. User care is zero. I hope we find our place here on this platform. Best of luck to all of us.
Also, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your efforts. I have learned a lot from your articles, and you were the one who motivated me (at least) to continue writing even when I faced many setbacks.
Along the same lines, Medium puts a cap on the number of articles I am permitted to publish or schedule as an editor in a 24 hour period. I don’t know what the exact number is, but I have hit the limit several times. Medium doesn’t seem to be interested in helping its editors do their necessary work.

Just due to Medium policies these good things and great writers are coming to end. No one want to be part of Medium after such actions.

Yes, I think every platform in starting favour the creators but when they’ve engaged enough traffic. Then they start to cut the cost.
That is ridiculous, as they will just start losing valuable writers and readers.

That's really disappointing to hear how unsupportive the Medium team is! With this behaviour, they're definitely gonna push away more writers.
